Marine collagen versus Animal Collagen

Marine collagen – has been produced of marine fish. It binds efficiently water and prevents drying of the skin. Allergies are very rare.

Animal collagen – is produced of beef and pork in a process including offensive chemical and enzymatic processing which led to a considerable degradation of proteins. This collagen includes also prions – infectious proteins able of causing fatal paralyse of the nervous system – BSE or Kreutzfeld-Jakobs disease. Fish and less developed organisms do not produce prions.

At processing of cosmetic products and food supplements it undergoes sterilisation, thus allergies are rare and the BSE risk is eliminated.
